Knife Skills


A good chef’s knife is the single most important weapon in the kitchen. Come to our Knife Skills Workshop and learn how to chop like a pro! Learn about all the main techniques and the traditional French cuts (julienne, brunoise… etc). Our chef will show you the secrets of sharpening with both wet stones and honing rod, so bring your trusty old chopper and we will give it a pamper if you want! (We recommend sharpening manually and not using a machine grinder if you really care about your knife.) At the same time, learn how to make the perfectly diced to perfection Classic French Ratatouille, which you’ll get to practice hands-on all the knife techniques and sample what we’ve cooked at the end of class.
